Jen’s Scripture Devotion
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23
There have been mornings in my life when simply getting out of bed felt like a victory. Days when the weight of my past, my pain, and my circumstances tried to convince me that I would never heal—that I would always be defined by what I had endured.
But God met me in those mornings.
Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds me that no matter how heavy yesterday was, God’s mercy is new today. Not recycled. Not leftover. New. Fresh compassion for fresh wounds. Fresh strength for today’s battles. Fresh grace for the places in us still learning to heal.
God does not run out of mercy when we struggle. He does not grow weary of meeting us in our brokenness. His faithfulness remains constant, even when our emotions waver and our healing feels slow.
Whatever you carried yesterday, you do not have to carry alone today. His mercies are waiting for you this morning.
Take a deep breath and remember: if God gave you another day, He has given you fresh grace to walk through it.
With Love, Jennifer
